Lee
Abington Pietzsch
Over
the last seven years, Lee Abington Pietzsch has offered perspective and
experience in areas ranging from user to project manager. She
has often assumed multiple project team roles, using many different
project tools and disciplines. Lee has worked for a large financial
company's insurance division as part of a team created specifically
to handle the process design and implementation resulting from
re-engineering efforts. Her responsibilities have also included
technical consulting and training. Lee has strong analysis,
design, organization, and development skills. She is a Microsoft
Certified Professional, an Oracle Certified Professional, and
a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), including
the Central Iowa Chapter.
Lee
received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor
of Arts in English from the University of Iowa.
Work Experience. Lee's experience includes the following:

For
a national footwear retail chain, led project management and
provided design and content development skills on an Instructional
Design project to develop training for store associates. The
training is delivered through Computer Based Learning (CBL)
within an internal system at each store location.

For
a state government department, led business analysis, detail
specification, and project management for development of a
public Internet site and private intranet site. The intranet
site allows day-to-day office activities to be managed from
one location with minimal training and experience.

Conducted
the analysis of current sales hierarchy systems and performers
for a prominent seed producer. Developed detail specifications
while assisting with prototype creation. Obtained senior management
sponsorship and user buy-in.

For
the technology department of a state government, developed
customized project management principals, concepts, and methodologies
to more effectively plan and manage resources and increase
project efficiency and success.

Managed
the development of a client-server application used by a nationwide
council to maintain market demographic information, process
funds remitted from individual markets, and generate accounting
reports. Performed business analysis, detail specification,
prototyping, and testing. Also performed project management,
which consisted of project document creation, change control,
and general project monitoring to ensure the project satisfied
the client's needs and expectations.

various applications and web sites using Visual Basic, Formula
One, RoboHelp, HTML, and Visual InterDev.

training materials and conducted classroom training for Microsoft
Office 97 and Oracle Developer 2000: Build Forms 1.

and developed a web-based system used to organize a vast number
of documents for reference by a wide variety of hospital personnel.

programming, and testing for an application used to formulate
sales proposals into standard formats using customer-specific
data and product information.

performance-centered design and EPSS methodologies, led application
design for several projects within a major insurance company.
Created a system for users of various skill levels to produce
appropriate plan designs and accurate pricing with limited
training. Condensed a complex, multi-screened enrollment process
into an efficient, streamlined process. Developed a centralized
manual for online access to information.
