Information: Design Company Updates Web SiteNew Design Provides Visitors with Many Interactive FeaturesLoveland, Ohio — The world's leader in designing and developing usable systems launched the new year with the unveiling of its new highly interactive web site. The new site replaces an older static site. "This site was a long time coming," says Burt Huber, president and CEO of Ariel Performance Centered Systems. "And we're really excited about many of the features on the web site." The new web site design features a highly polished graphical presentation, with pop-up submenus and Flash animations. "The new design reflects the style that many web users have come to expect," says Ronnie Bates, the graphic artist behind the redesign. "Surfers are a lot more sophisticated today, and we wanted to make sure our designs are an exact match to their expectations." In addition to the graphical polish, the new web site design sports an online bookstore, a collection of industry articles, a glossary and a list of answers to frequently asked questions. For most sections of the web site, if a visitor would like to make a comment or suggestion, there are online forms for collecting that information. "Perhaps the most interactive part of the new web site is our meeting room," continues Huber. This great tool allows Ariel to work interactively via the web, not only amongst ourselves, but also with our clients and prospects." Two other tools soon to arrive on the web site are an ROI calculator and a Performance Support Project Planner. According to Huber, "Many of our prospects have a difficult time determining their return on investment. Our online calculator will help them put together rationale for moving forward. Moreover, the online project planner will allow them to see the timelines associated with typical projects." The new web site took about two months of intensive collaboration from the Ariel team. Headed up by Frank Brusca and Jeff Frossard, the new site is sure to be a hit with Ariel's clients and prospects. "It was a lot of fun working on this new design," says Brusca. "We used many newer technologies such as dynamic layering and Macromedia's Flash. I think this is some of our best looking work!" Not content to rest on their laurels, Ariel is already at work on the next iteration of the web site. Frossard adds, "We're rapidly moving to make use of Active Server Page (ASP) technologies. When we do, the site will possess an even higher level of interactivity. It's going to be really cool."
